Liyuan opera is one of the oldest surviving forms of Chinese opera, known for its timeless elegance and simplicity. This production is an inventive operatic adaptation of the classic ancient script Chen San, a love tale between Chen San and Wuniang, which remains the most enduring and beloved classic of the genre.
